Latin and Hispanic Heritage Month
It’s currently Latin and Hispanic Heritage Month: a period between September 15 and October 15 in which the histories, cultures and contributions of people with Spanish or Latin American ancestry are celebrated.
Argentinian artist Bernardo Henning was called up by Meta to design their special Facebook cover photo capturing the spirit of the season. It features climate activist Xiye (from the Otomi-Toltec indigenous region of central Mexico); former Vogue cover star Estrella (of the indigenous transgender muxe community of southern Mexico); and DJ and creative director Ukeim (from the Puerto Rican Californian community).
