Our latest artist to walk through the Different Folk doors is the marvellous Sibel Balac
Bold lines, off-kilter proportions and eye-popping colours – some of the calling cards of Stuttgart-based Sibel Balac. Throw in some playful, upbeat motifs in for good measure, and it’s no wonder why TDF’s newest January signing has been regularly commissioned to light up the culture pages of local Stuttgarten chronicle LIFT Magazine.
Away from her home city, Sibel has also collaborated with heavy hitters like Adobe, eBay, Red Bull – and even German Comic Con – all working from a studio which she shares with her talented pals; a creative lab in which illustration magic is routinely conjured up.
Since graduating with a diploma in Communication Design at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, Sibel has been shortlisted for a Communication Arts illustration gong, as well as being a merit award winner, new talent, at the iJungle awards.
